Supporting Healthy Masculinities: Unpacking Driver 4

Discover ways to be the positive social change we all wish to see at home, at work and out in our communities

What can we be doing in workplaces and community to encourage healthy forms of masculinity and challenge harmful ideas about what it means to be a man?

There are four gendered ‘drivers’ which consistently predict gender-based violence.

Using evidence from Our WatchRainbow Health and the Men’s Project as a guide, this workshop will unpack Driver 4 in Change The Story, the national evidence-based framework guiding the prevention of gender-based violence.

What is Driver 4? – Male peer relations and cultures of masculinity that emphasise aggression, dominance and control.

Join organisations in Greater Bendigo to;

  • Discuss and unpack Driver 4
  • Identify ways Driver 4 shows up in workplaces, relationships and community settings
  • Explore and name everyday ways to support healthy masculinities

Discover ways to be the positive social change we all wish to see at home, at work and out in our communities!
