Menopause 101

Please join us for this online evening information session about menopause, what to expect, and how to manage symptoms.

Welcome to the first session for Menopause Month in October, Menopause 101. Please join us for this online evening information session. We encourage you to attend this 101 session with friends and/or loved ones. Set aside some time away from your responsibilities, grab a cuppa, food and bring whatever you need to be comfortable, listen and ask questions.

The learning objectives for this session are:

  • Define menopause, list the symptoms and explain when and why menopause happens
  • Outline the role of hormones and their impact on health and wellbeing during the menopause transition
  • List hormonal and non-hormonal treatments and summarize the reasons for using, or not using, them
  • Recognise, track and manage the symptoms in the body
  • Be prepared for your GP visit
