Menopause 101 is a free community information session. We encourage you to attend this with friends and/or loved ones. Set aside some time away from your responsibilities, grab a cuppa, food and bring whatever you need to be comfortable, listen and ask questions.

The learning objectives for this session are: 

  • Define menopause, list the symptoms and explain when and why menopause happens
  • Outline the role of hormones and their impact on health and wellbeing during the menopause transition
  • List hormonal and non-hormonal treatments and summarize the reasons for using, or not using, them
  • Recognise, track and manage the symptoms in the body
  • Be prepared for your GP visit
