Our goal is for all Loddon Mallee women to have access to safe and appropriate sexual and reproductive health services and information at every life stage. This includes the ability to manage fertility and access contraception, have safe, respectful and pleasurable sexual relationships and safe and legal access to abortion.
Access to sexual and reproductive health services can be negatively impacted by gender as well as other intersecting forms of disadvantage and discrimination due to ethnicity, age, disability, gender identity, rurality, social class or sexual orientation.
We work in partnership with community groups, health services and organisations to build capacity and advocate for reproductive health services and information that is provided to women in a way that is non-judgmental, easily understood, culturally sensitive, free from discrimination, affordable, geographically accessible, and sex positive.
Her Health Matters is the regional framework that underpins and guides our work to improve sexual and reproductive health services and information for women in the Loddon Mallee. It has been developed through consultation with community, service providers and stakeholders to embed lived experience and reflect the needs of our region.
We work with our regional partners and community members to co-design and deliver evidence-based education to increase awareness around sexual and reproductive health and improve knowledge and access to services.
Our sessions have included Menopause, Reproductive Health and Aging; Sexually Transmitted Infections; Contraception; Healthy Relationships; Breast, Bladder and Bowel Health and screening and Cervical Cancer Screening.
Get in touch to discuss how we can work together, or to request a Sexual and Reproductive Health workshop fill out a Training Enquiry Form.
Storylines is a collaborative project by Women's Health Loddon Mallee and Women’s Health Goulburn North East that invites women to share their experiences of sexual and reproductive health.
Each story becomes part of a bigger story that will help build a picture of how we can improve the quality, access, and type of health support for women across our regions.
Our women's health nurse in our Well Women's Clinic can provide advice, information, and referral on a range of women’s sexual and reproductive health topics including breast care, bladder and bowel health, contraception, menstruation, menopause, and pregnancy choices.
Take a look at our collection of resources to find research, reports, submissions and more about women’s sexual and reproductive health.
Women’s Health Loddon Mallee have worked alongside Deaf Hub Bendigo and other project partners to ensure that critical health information for women is accessible to deaf and hard of hearing communities.
