Bilingual Speakers Expression of Interest

Women's Health Loddon Mallee is now accepting expressions of interest for female and male Karen and Filipino speakers to support the creation of 2 separate animation series.

Women’s Health Loddon Mallee is now accepting expressions of interest for female and male Karen and Filipino speakers to support the creation of 2 separate animation series.

The project requires adult male, adult female and child (male and female) voiceovers for the animation series, to be recorded in Castlemaine, Central Victoria. This is a paid project with an estimated 4 hours of work.

This animation series aims to increase migrant and refugee communities understanding of the following topics:

  • Challenging gender stereotypes in the early years
  • Sexual and reproductive health including cervical screening, menopause, and pregnancy options

Animation project 1 

“Raise them Equal” 

5 short (approx. 1 minute) animations about challenging gender stereotypes in the early years in English, Filipino/Tagalog and Karen language. 

Animation project 2 

“Her Health Matters- multilingual sexual and reproductive health resources for multicultural communities” 

3 (approx. 3 minute) animations on the topics of cervical screening, menopause, and pregnancy options in English, Filipino/Tagalog and Karen language. 

Information for speakers 

We are seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from male and female speakers including children (guardian consent to be provided) to provide voiceovers for the animation series.

The voiceovers will be recorded in Castlemaine, central Victoria.

This is a paid project with an estimated 4 hours of work (including travel time to Castlemaine) paying a set amount of $123.44 (adults) and $61.72 (children aged under 18years).   

  • Applicants must have their own transportation to Castlemaine. 
  • All experience levels are welcome to apply 
  • Ability to read the script in English and in language (Filipino/Tagalog or Karen) is necessary.

Date and time of the recording is yet to be confirmed, but most likely to be late January or early February 2024.
