Health Promotion Lead – Mental Health + Wellbeing

This position is a part-time position (0.80 EFT). The position is ordinarily based at 47 Myers St, Bendigo, with work from home flexibility offered.

Women’s Health Loddon Mallee is a women’s health promotion organisation based in Bendigo and working across the Loddon Mallee Region of Victoria. Women’s Health Loddon Mallee’s vision is equity in health and wellbeing for women of the Loddon Mallee region. Our priorities are to advance gender equality, prevent violence against women, strengthen women’s mental health and wellbeing, and improve sexual and reproductive health in a changing society.

About Women’s Health Loddon Mallee:

We are a for purpose health promotion charity run by women for women. Working within a feminist framework WHLM addresses the cultural and structural causes of gender inequalities impacting the health and wellbeing of women in the region, through research, advocacy for systemic change, training, and capacity building.

The Health Promotion Lead – Mental Health + Wellbeing will:

  • Support the delivery of tailored programs and initiatives that work towards supporting women’s mental health and wellbeing in the Loddon Mallee region.
  • Actively contribute to the achievement of WHLM’s strategic and operational goals.
  • Support the capacity of local partners to foster resilience and strengthen the mental health and wellbeing of Loddon Mallee communities by creating supportive environments that increase opportunities for connectedness, skills development and community action.
  • Contribute to the coordination and delivery of training and education associated with women’s mental health and wellbeing.
  • Focus on using an understanding of women’s lived experience to advocate for the structural change required to better support women’s mental health and wellbeing.
